This black authentic autographed jersey is registered into the NBA and MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as Number AM007116. That numbered hologram is affixed on the inside of the jersey on the wash tag.
Only 800 Commemorative jerseys were produced, 100 for each of JAY Z’s eight Barclays Center-opening concerts. Each set of 100 Commemorative jerseys is identified by a dated Limited Edition 1/100 tag sewn onto the lower left front hem, above the adidas size tag on which JAY Z personally hand signed only 10 jerseys as follows: “Peace JAY Z”. The jersey’s tag is dated 10/3/2012.
The name CARTER and the number 4 are sewn onto the back of each jersey. The timeless black and white jersey features “Brooklyn” across the front and a herringbone tape running vertically along the sides, matching the Nets’ herringbone-designed court at Barclays Center. In fusing adidas’ on-court innovations with premium men’s fashion, the classic jerseys reinforce Brooklyn’s strong and confident identity and the borough’s hometown pride.
Created by JAY Z, the Nets’ brand identity incorporates a timeless black-and-white color palette of the old New York subway signage system, including its clean “RollSign” typeface. The treatment celebrates the history and heritage of the city by drawing upon the familiar signage from when Brooklyn last had its own major professional team in 1957.
